art critic, stunned at Marian Goodman
Stunned to come upon the mirror (one of the best parts!) at the Gerhard Richter show, I had to take a photo to see if I really existed.
The real seemed much less real than the work.
Take a picture of yourself at this show—or, if you like, another amazing painting show—and I will post it here. This may prove that you, too, actually exist.
The mirror gives us an (amazing) work. ‘Nuff said for now.

Of course, after I resigned from the Met, I had time to catch up on movies. I got to see “Proof of Life.” Terrible movie, but I like the idea of “Proof of Art” or at least “Proof I saw the Art.” Quite brilliant. I plan on visiting the Met soon to Photograph myself at the entrance by the hot dog stands. I’d go in, but the admission price is too high for a retiree.
