Was in Jim Osman’s studio. He mentioned his love of Charles and Ray Eames. I went to my Eames catalog, and found a diagram they made, back in 1969, diagramming the big agencies and corporations they worked with as designers.

The Department of State, The Department of the Interior, IBM, The United States Information Agency—they’re all in there.
The late Mark Lombardi, whom my friend Greg Stone knew well, figured out connections between all sorts of corporations, government agencies, you name it.
And now, of course, the world of business Must Interact for you (via a tool called Knowledge Maps, with all sorts of links. Heck, you can make your own data map, not to unearth connections and marvel so much as to get right into the workplace make a profit.
