I've been chased away by security guards, and invited inside to pray. I've made rubbings during thunderstorms and, even harder, at the end of long summer work days when I've had to fight my own inertia. No matter the situation, it's always amazing to touch a temple during this period of time—to connect with how diverse (and plentiful!) our centers of worship are.

Here are a few highlights of years past (not necessarily in order): The Central Synagogue on Fifth Avenue; The Village Temple; The Society for the Advancement of Judaism; The Park Slope Jewish Center; 770 Eastern Parkway; and this year, The Synagogue for the Arts, Chabad of Kensignton...the list goes on.
