the Message: street poetry

1) What does artist Michael Mut do?
Well, in an interview I am editing right now, I learned that, literally, he: paints, sculpts hair, brings people together; but that, just as importantly, he makes choices about whatever he does, consciously, every single day.
What does Michael Mut try to NOT do? Worry. Feel guilty. Give in to isolation and fear…basically, all the opposite things.
Nice! (I’ve got a good job, right?) The above is one of his early sidewalk paintings — it goes the whole length of a street.
2) To the poet who was selling these books yesterday on Bedford Ave: Thank you so much for the Gilbert! I had to go the other direction, I forgot your name, and I want to buy the book on the bottom row:

…still. Rossiter it was. Amazing.
