Process Notes: How’d she do that, you ask?

chill2i smallerClaire Corey. An artist whose been working in computer-based media for years–like, even before it was popular. The answer to this question is really complex. So, shall we just quote from her recent e-mail?

“…[I make these] small paintings using found imagery on the Internet [as well as] photos I take
myself which I combine into a composition that I paint in oil on paper. I then scan the paintings…and work them in the computer. Finally they are then printed onto canvas…It is a true melding of the old and new technology….

They are very labor intensive, and I believe visually, the richest work I have ever made.”
