I totally want to thank Allen Ying, of 43magazine, our official photographer on this article. He gave me a copy of 43; I have to say it’s impressive. It gives us a truly high-art view of skateboard culture/people/ and the street architecture they love — and the rest of us overlook. It’s available at places like Homage on Smith Street in Brooklyn, and great skate shops everywhere. It’s funny, too, that I work at 45projects.com, and he works at 43.

Now, if we could just have gotten these lady-curators on skateboards…

“…there is a vitality, a life force…If you block it, it will never exist through any other medium…It is not your business to determine how good it is; You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you.
